Former Malian minister abducted by armed men in Bamako
A former minister and prominent Malian lawyer was abducted by armed, hooded men in Bamako, according to a family member.
The abduction comes amid a wave of arrests following recent attacks in Mali.
The family says several hooded soldiers stormed Maître Mountaga Tall’s home and took him away without explanation.
They mistreated his wife and took his phone.
Mountaga Tall is known for representing critics of the military regime.
The family filed a complaint with the police.
Malian authorities have not commented, and it is unclear if the abduction is linked to ongoing arrests related to the attacks.
