US President Donald Trump has said with "a little more time", the US could "easily open the Hormuz strait, take the oil and make a fortune".
But military analyst Mikey Kay said it's "absolutely not" possible for the US to do so, with the geography of the strait being an advantage for Iran, despite the US's two amphibious ready groups being in the region.
Meanwhile, experts are looking into whether or not the US-Israeli strikes on Iran breach war laws.
