Xi Jinping says China-DPRK ties stand at new historical starting point

Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Chinese president, said on Monday that the relationship between China and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) stands at a new historical starting point.

Xi made the remarks while attending a welcome banquet hosted by Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the DPRK.
