Man detained after knife attack on three women in Paris

The victims, aged 19, 24 and 36, were taken to hospital, with two seriously injured.

An off-duty police officer arrested the suspect after bystanders helped restrain him.

Police say the suspect made incoherent statements, and are still trying to establish the motive, while anti-terror prosecutors consider whether to open an investigation.
