Air Canada cuts summer flights to New York's JFK airport as fuel costs soar

Air Canada will suspend service to New York’s JFK International airport over the summer, the latest move in an industry struggling with high fuel costs and falling supplies.

The Canadian airline said Friday that service from Toronto and Montreal to New York will cease June 1 and resume Oct. 25.

Other airlines have raised baggage fees in response to the soaring costs.
