The record deployment is another consequence of America's war with Iran - a war which is becoming increasingly unpopular by the day.
An unusually animated Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth rejected reports of bad conditions on the Lincoln and a short time ago Donald Trump declared that the deployment “wasn't long enough”.
