Approximately 30 traditional headmen (izinduna) in KwaMandlakazi and KwaNongoma are facing financial hardship after allegedly going months, and in some cases years, without receiving their salaries, despite their concerns reportedly being known to the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (Cogta).
