Justices Elena Kagan and Amy Coney Barrett offered advice to young people Tuesday while testifying before a House subcommittee on the Supreme Court's fiscal 2027 budget request.
"How we function as a country going forward is in large measure up to them," Justice Kagan said of the next generation.
"I am heartened that so many young people are here," Justice Barrett said. "Because I think it shows engagement in our democratic process."
