A Seoul court has sentenced former South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol to 30 years in prison over allegations that he ordered military drones to be sent over Pyongyang, North Korea, in an attempt to manufacture a pretext for his failed 2024 martial law declaration, Yonhap News Agency reported.
Yoon was removed from office last year after the Constitutional Court upheld his impeachment, triggering a snap election that was won by liberal candidate Lee Jae Myung.
