Sabres rediscover power play in 2nd-round win over Montreal

The Buffalo Sabres appear to have rediscovered their power-play production.

Buffalo converted 2 of 3 opportunities in a 4-2 win over Montreal in Game 1 of their second-round playoff series.

That's a major improvement after the Sabres converted 1 of 24 chances in a six-game first-round series win against Boston.

Ryan McLeod scored on Buffalo's second power-play opportunity, and then set up Bowen Byram's goal on the next chance, building a 4-1 lead midway through the second period.

The Sabres host Game 2 on Friday.
