[Breaking] Former liberal prime minister in neck and neck race for Daegu mayor post: exit poll

Kim Boo-kyum, former four-time lawmaker and prime minister, is slightly behind the race in the conservative stronghold of Daegu, exit polls suggested.

According to exit polls conducted after polls closed in nationwide local elections Wednesday, Kim won 49.1 percent of votes in Daegu, 0.8 percentage point behind Choo Kyung-ho in the mayoral race for Daegu.
