14-year-old e-bike rider killed in Wauconda crash

A teen boy was killed after being hit by a car while riding an e-bike in Wauconda Tuesday, according to Wauconda police.

Tyler Waldal, 14, was riding the e-bike in the 500 block of Main Street at 9:58 p.m. when he was hit by an SUV, police said.

He was taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center where he later died.

The crash remains under investigation.
