Rep. Steve Cohen (D-TN) sang the chorus to "The Gambler," a song popularized by late singer Kenny Rogers, on the House floor in tribute to his friend and the song's writer, Don Schlitz, who died Thursday in Nashville at age 73.
The Tennessee Democrat expounded on Mr. Schlitz's legacy as a songwriter and musician, but also on their relationship: "He was a wonderful human being with a big heart," he said.
