Israel has bombed several cities across Lebanon since its war with Hezbollah began, killing at least 254 people and wounding 837.

The attacks prompted Iranian officials to warn that Tehran could withdraw from the ceasefire agreed overnight with the US. The office of Israel’s prime minister had said the two-week Middle Eastern ceasefire 'does not include Lebanon', contrary to an initial statement made by mediator Pakistan
