Israel and Lebanon renew ceasefire on condition Hezbollah holds its fire
Israel and Lebanon on Wednesday agreed to renew a ceasefire that would be contingent on the Iran-backed Hezbollah militant group holding back all fire, representatives said in a joint statement after talks in Washington, DC. Just hours after the deal was struck, air raid sirens sounded in northern Israel after an alert over a "suspicious aerial target”, but it was not clear where it was coming from.
