The U.S. Justice Department has charged a 16-year-old boy with murder and aggravated sexual abuse in Florida in the death of his stepsister on a Carnival Cruise ship.
Anna Kepner died from mechanical asphyxia on Nov. 6, 2025.
Her body was found under a bed in the cabin she shared with her stepbrother, Timothy Hudson.
Hudson was charged earlier this year but the case was initially sealed.
He has pleaded not guilty.
