'Pakistan chapter I had before is now closed': Mohammad Amir calls himself 'British local'

Mohammad Amir has ruled out a return to Pakistan’s national team after obtaining British citizenship and a British passport.

The former Pakistan pacer said his “Pakistan chapter” is now closed because he can no longer be considered a local player in English domestic cricket.

Amir retired internationally in 2024 after a career highlighted by major performances in ICC tournaments.
