Battlefield 6 Will Get A Proper Server Browser This Year

Server browsers have long been an option in previous Battlefield games, dating all the way back to the game's early PC gaming roots when matchmaking as we currently know it didn't exist.
Persistent servers allow players to stay in a specific experience or on a particular map with the same group of players, without having to repeatedly return to the game's main menu in order to use the game's dedicated matchmaking system.
That in turn, lets communities form on servers in a way that isn't possible through standard matchmaking.
Servers gives players more options, like being able to select servers based on ping and other factors.
