New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani rallied to celebrate 100 days in office, boosting his early accomplishments and charting future goals as he pledged to lead with a relentless focus on the city’s working-class.
In front of a rapt crowd Sunday, Mamdani highlighted the early accomplishments of his administration and then turned to a few new plans, including a proposal to open the first of a planned city-run grocery stores next year.
He also said he would expand the city's trash containerization program and move to speed up city buses.
Mamdani, 34, took office in January.
