Trump to announce expansion of TrumpRx
President Donald Trump is set to announce an expansion of his discounted-drug website, TrumpRx, according to a White House official who spoke anonymously to preview the remarks.
Trump is expected to speak about the plan at a White House event on Monday.
The expansion could help beef up the offerings of the government website that some critics have denounced as performative.
The website launched in February and works by directing Americans to drugmakers’ direct-to-consumer sites and providing pharmacy coupons.
The announcement comes as health costs remain a top voter concern.
The administration has also promoted deals with major drugmakers to offer medications at competitive prices.
