Russia unleashed hundreds of drones and missiles on Kyiv overnight, including a nuclear-capable hypersonic missile.
The Oreshnik, an intermediate-range ballistic missile designed to carry nuclear warheads, hit the town of Bila Tserkva in the Kyiv region, 50 miles south of the capital, Ukrainian officials confirmed.
The weapon, which travels 10 times faster than the speed of sound, has been said to be impossible to intercept.
Footage purporting to show the strike on Sunday appeared to show its characteristic clusters of projectiles streaking towards the ground.
