A Florida county sheriff's office says they arrested a man whom federal authorities say planned a mass shooting at a large festival in New Orleans.
The event wasn't named, but the annual New Orleans Jazz & Heritage festival is getting underway Thursday.
The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office says that the man from Chapel Hill, North Carolina, was wanted for terroristic threats.
Deputies arrested him without incident Wednesday night at a hotel in Destin, in the Florida Panhandle.
They say they found a handgun and about 200 rounds of ammunition in his hotel room.
They say he will be extradited to Louisiana to face charges.
It wasn't immediately known if he had a lawyer.
