Mali jihadists vow to blockade capital
Jihadist groups in Mali are calling for the overthrow of the ruling military junta, claiming they have begun blockading the capital, Bamako, and seizing additional territory as part of a widening insurgency.
The coalition known as JNIM and its allies say they are expanding their control on the ground, while Niger says it is carrying out counterstrikes in coordination with Mali and Burkina Faso.
