Minnesota authorities are planning to investigate the actions of federal law enforcement officers in one county, potentially including a kidnapping, burglary, and false imprisonment.
Ramsey County Attorney John Choi and Sheriff Bob Fletcher said they will release more details at a news conference Monday.
Ramsey County includes the state capital, St. Paul.
They aim to obtain information from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
The department has refused to cooperate with other state and local investigations, including into the killings of two citizens in Minneapolis during a Trump administration immigration crackdown.
The prosecutor and sheriff are calling on the public to share information.
