Manchester City completes double by crushing Brighton 4-0 in Women’s FA Cup final
Manchester City has won the Women’s FA Cup to complete a first league and cup double.
On Sunday City defeated Brighton 4-0 at Wembley in front of nearly 44,000 fans.
City claimed its fourth FA Cup and the first since 2020.
Alex Greenwood set up Khadija “Bunny” Shaw for the opening goal in the 38th minute.
Greenwood then scored with a free kick just before halftime.
In the second half, substitutes Aoba Fujino and Vivianne Miedema added to the lead.
Brighton, a first-time finalist, was aiming for its first major trophy.
City secured the Women’s Super League title last month.
