Flooding sends chunks of ice into Michigan homes

Large chunks of ice have rammed into homes along Michigan's Black Lake in the northeastern Lower Peninsula as constant spring rainfall and winter melt have flooded homes and threatened to overflow stressed dam systems.

Photos and video posted to social media on Wednesday show ice sitting inside living rooms after it busted through windows and doors.

Snowmelt and spring rains have swollen rivers and lakes, forcing torrents of water on their way to Lake Huron through Cheboygan County communities.

Officials are working to keep debris and ice from clogging a major dam.
