President Trump received a tour of a General Motors facility in Milford, Michigan, from CEO Mary Barra and touted that his presidency improved the company's standing.
"It's amazing what tariffs will do for General Motors and what the election has done," he told reporters on Monday.
The president promoted investment into the U.S. auto industry to support his "America First" agenda with the Michigan primary right around the corner, and the broader midterm election campaign remaining at large.
