Oil slips and the global stock rally resumes on optimism that the US and Iran will meet for a second round of talks.

US Vice President JD Vance is expected to head to Pakistan for the negotiations, but Iran is yet to confirm whether it will take part.

President Trump tells Bloomberg the current ceasefire is unlikely to be extended when it expires this week.

And the US President's nominee to become the next chair of the Federal Reserve is expected to promise to protect Fed independence in his confirmation hearing.
