Trump says Iran peace deal could be reached ‘soon’ after Tehran reopens Hormuz Strait
Tehran's announcement on Friday that the critical Strait of Hormuz was reopen to commercial shipping for the remainder of the Israel-Lebanon ceasefire was followed by a flurry of social media posts by US President Donald Trump suggesting that a peace deal with Washington could be reached "soon".
But Iranian officials said the two sides still needed to overcome serious differences.
