Venezuela's exiled opposition leader María Corina Machado has drawn several thousand supporters to a rally in Madrid.
She declined a meeting Saturday with Spain's Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez during her European tour.
Machado cited Sánchez's summit with progressive leaders as her reason for declining.
She addressed supporters alongside Madrid's conservative regional leader Isabel Díaz Ayuso.
Machado plans to return to Venezuela but hasn't specified when or how she will do so.
She criticized Venezuela's interim President Delcy Rodríguez and emphasized the need for democratic elections.
She also said she did not regret presenting Donald Trump with her Nobel Peace Prize.
