WHO chief visits Congo's Kinshasa amid rare Ebola virus outbreak
The head of the World Health Organization has arrived in Congo's capital to support efforts against a rare Ebola outbreak.
Health workers are struggling with a lack of equipment, distrustful locals and armed groups.
The Bundibugyo virus, with no approved treatment or vaccine, has led to over 1,000 suspected cases and 238 deaths.
Challenges include local anger over burial protocols, displacement from conflict and food insecurity.
The WHO chief discourages travel bans, but the U.S. has imposed restrictions.
The outbreak is centered in Ituri province, with cases also in North and South Kivu.
