Breaking: No deal after 21 hours. JD Vance Says US–Iran talks fail

Al Jazeera Al Jazeera —

After 21 hours of intense negotiations in Islamabad, U.S. Vice President JD Vance has confirmed that talks with Iran have ended without a deal.

Despite “substantive discussions,” major disagreements remain—especially over Iran’s nuclear program, the Strait of Hormuz, and broader regional tensions.

The U.S. has now presented what it calls its “final offer,” demanding a long-term commitment from Iran not to develop nuclear weapons.

Iran, however, has not accepted these terms.
