LIV Golf looking to postpone New Orleans event, reports say
Multiple reports indicate LIV Golf is planning to move its inaugural June tournament in New Orleans to the fall.
New Orleans television station WDSU and Nola.com were among the first to report the development.
An announcement from LIV and state officials is expected Tuesday.
LIV Golf is said to be working with Louisiana on a postponement.
Among the factors are the extreme heat the last week in June and wanting to be sure Bayou Oaks at City Park is in championship condition.
There's also concern about enough people watching during the World Cup.
