Gunman on scooter wounds man on West Side, police say

A man was hospitalized after he was shot by someone on a scooter Sunday evening in the Austin neighborhood, Chicago police said.
The 35-year-old was outside about 10:15 p.m. in the 900 Block of South Kilpatrick Avenue when a male gunman on a scooter opened fire in his direction, police said in a statement.
The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital with multiple gunshot wounds to his body, police said.
He was listed in fair condition.
Police reported no arrests.
