Gaza worker restores stove burners as families adapt to fuel shortages

From his workshop, he explained that he has spent more than 30 years in the trade, producing locally made burners and repairing older ones to help people cope with limited access to cooking fuel.



He said the ongoing blockade, combined with shortages of gas and firewood and rising costs, has left many residents unable to afford basic necessities, forcing them to depend on stove burners despite their high prices.

With spare parts largely unavailable, he has developed improvised repair techniques, including modifying burner nozzles to reduce fuel consumption and extend their lifespan.
