Most of England under heat health alerts as temperatures hit 35C

Heat health alerts will come into force for large parts of England today, with some areas forecast to be hotter than Greek holiday resorts.

The Met Office says temperatures could reach 35 Celcius in the South East.

The UK Health Security Agency has issued amber heat-health alerts for the East Midlands, East of England, South East and London from today until Wednesday morning.

There are also Yellow alerts for northern and western areas of England.
