David Miliband calls for action to allow urgent aid through Strait of Hormuz

The president of the International Rescue Committee has called for urgent action to protect humanitarian aid travelling through the Strait of Hormuz

David Miliband also warned of a "food security timebomb" in parts of the Middle East if fertiliser wasn't allowed through the crucial shipping lane.

Iran has taken control of traffic through the strait, a move that has sent oil prices soaring and is threatening to push up global inflation.
