Presidential historian Michael Beschloss explains why former President Richard Nixon decided to secretly record conversations and phone calls made in the Oval Office.
Nixon was initially opposed to secretly recording conversations, Beschloss told C-SPAN.
"But by 1970, Nixon felt that certain people in his entourage were taking credit for things that Nixon did that they did not deserve — Henry Kissinger."
