France battles wildfires as 40°C heatwave looms

Some 4,000 people have been evacuated from a beach resort in France as officials continue to battle the worst wildfires in living memory.

Officials ordered the evacuation of campsites and tourist accommodations in Lacanau, a beach town and popular surf spot about 35 miles from Bordeaux on Tuesday morning.
