Evo Morales' followers join Bolivia's largest protests in decades

Followers of Bolivia’s ex-President Evo Morales have joined a massive protest movement against President Rodrigo Paz.

The protests, which began over two weeks ago, are fueled by Bolivia’s worst economic crisis in a generation.

Thousands of Morales' supporters marched into the capital, La Paz, on Monday, clashing with riot police.

The demonstrations are the biggest challenge to Paz, Bolivia’s first conservative leader in nearly two decades.

His government has struggled to manage the economic crisis and has reached deals with some striking groups.

Morales, accused of orchestrating the unrest, denies the allegations.

Eight Latin American governments and the U.S. have condemned the destabilization efforts.
