Magnitude 5.5 earthquake strikes Nevada along with several aftershocks, USGS says; felt in Bay Area

A magnitude 5.5 earthquake, downgraded from a 5.7, struck the Silver Springs, Nevada, on Monday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

There have been several aftershocks with the quake being felt in parts of the Bay Area.
