Taylor and Benge rally Mets to Subway Series win over stumbling Yankees
Carson Benge drove in the winning run with a 10th-inning chopper, leading the New York Mets to a 7-6 victory over the Yankees at Citi Field.
It marked the second time in five days Benge secured a victory in extra innings.
Tyrone Taylor tied the game with a three-run homer off David Bednar with two outs in the ninth.
The Mets, despite missing key players, have improved to 10-5 in May.
The Yankees went 2-7 on a challenging trip and start a seven-game homestand Monday night against division rivals Toronto and Tampa Bay.
