Louisiana police say a podcast helped them solve the decades-old rape and murder of a 16-year-old girl.
The Louisiana State Police announced on Friday that four men faced criminal charges in the 1982 killing of Roxanne Sharp in St. Tammany Parish.
State police credited a local media company's podcast with prompting new witnesses to come forward.
Perry Wayne Taylor, Carlos Cooper and Darrell Dean Spell — all age 64 — and 62-year-old Billy Williams Jr. have been charged with aggravated rape and second-degree murder in connection with Sharp's death.
Williams' son maintained his father's innocence while the other three men could not be reached for comment.
