Uber on Thursday agreed to a nearly $15 billion bid to acquire the German-based Delivery Hero, which will create the largest food-delivery group outside of China.
The transaction will double the number of markets where Uber offers mobility and delivery services, Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi said in a company statement.
