NYC Ballet dancer shares her experience with hearing loss

Sara Mearns, a principal dancer with the New York City Ballet took the leap and wants people to know how helpful it has been.

She finally overcame her own reluctance and sought help after starting to miss cues.

While hearing loss is common in older adults, it can happen at any age.

Common symptoms include saying “what” more often, ringing in the ears or a sensation like something is stuck.

Experts say to let a doctor know if you think you may be experiencing symptoms of hearing loss.
