More than 310,000 people have been forced to flee their homes in France and Spain, which are racing to contain some of the most ferocious wildfires in both countries' histories.
Thousands of firefighters have been deployed to try to contain the blazes, but multiple heatwaves have led to vegetation burning too fast for emergency responders to keep up.
