New footage shows bomb attack on Ukrainian tycoon in Monaco

The Telegraph The Telegraph — 1min

Video footage shows the moment a Ukrainian property tycoon and his family were seriously injured in a bomb attack.

Vadym Iermolaiev, a Dnipro-born businessman sanctioned by Kyiv, is still in intensive care following an attack on his apartment in Monaco on June 29.

Ukrainian officials have now shared footage of the moment the attacker drops a backpack full of explosives on the steps of the family’s apartment in Monaco.

In the footage, a person dressed in khaki shorts, a black hooded sweatshirt and a hat can be seen leaving a bag at the entrance to the apartment.

The attacker then speaks to someone on the phone before walking slowly down the stairs and up the hill.

They are apparently unnoticed by Mr Iermolaiev, who approaches with Anna Nasobina, his partner, and their 13-year-old son – both of whom were also seriously injured in the explosion.

The recording was taken on a camera installed by the suspects to confirm that the attack had been carried out as agreed.

The footage shows them picking up the device after it was displaced by the blast.
