California Rep. Eric Swalwell has officially resigned from Congress after multiple allegations of sexual misconduct from at least four women. “I will fight the serious, false allegations made against me.
However, I must take responsibility and ownership for the mistakes I did make,” the Democrat wrote.
Across the aisle, Texas Republican Tony Gonzales, who previously admitted to an affair with a staffer who died by suicide, announced his retirement.
