Thane declares holiday for all schools on July 6 amid orange alert for heavy rain
Thane district administration has announced a holiday for all schools and anganwadis on Monday, July 6, due to IMD's forecast of heavy to very heavy rainfall and potential flash floods.
This follows a previous holiday on Friday.
The decision aims to ensure student safety amidst concerns of waterlogging in low-lying areas, making travel risky.
Collector Dr. Shrikrishna Panchal issued the order after reviewing the weather predictions.
