An application by semi-truck driver Jaskirat Singh Sidhu to defer his deportation after he pleaded guilty to killing 16 people and injuring 13 when his vehicle crashed into a bus carrying the Humboldt Broncos hockey team in April 2018 has been accepted by a Federal Court judge at a hearing on Friday.
